Dear Patricia, wonderful news, I am so happy for you. Such a wonderful way to start the day – a sale and a big one.

We didn’t get to Blackheath on our recent trip to the Blue Mountains, will have to go next time. I remember staying at Blackheath as a child on school holidays.

I hope I can emulate you this coming weekend as we have the Watercolour Society of WA Annual Awards Exhibition on. I am very busy as I am the Secretary, getting all the final ends tied up before Thursday. I have 5 paintings in the exhibition.

Thank you Susan, I thought I’d share it here as i am very happy about it.

Blackheath, as you would know then, is a wonderful little quaint town.
I like visiting passing that famous Blue Mountain Icon The Hydro Majestic…which by the way is up for sale again… there is talk of it becomeing a Nursing Home.

Anyway, best of luck and fingers crossed for you and your paintings in Watercolour Society Annual Awards Exhibition in WA – that’s major! Being the Secretary will keep you on your toes.
HUGS

Big CONGRATULATIONS !!!!! @>->-—- to you Patricia :) This must be a huge boost to your confidence…and a validation that people love your work. Doesn’t it make you buzz and feel eager to start creating your next painting? Well done. ~ Anni x

Anni... Thank you. It is a wonderful boost, particularly in light of my last post here.

I have sold works in the past through a small shop I used to run in my local area, that was many years ago and was geared towards the gift market with smaller paintings on offer. This is my first in an “art exhibition” which was also juried.

No awards, however to pick up one less painting to bring home is an award all unto itself!

To answer your question simply…Yes!

Fantastic news PG!! So exciting for you and well-deserved. Your art is versatile+++, with a great sense of line, lyricism, subtle luminous colour, empathy, imaginative, dreamy, ...I could go on!! Many years ago I entered a watercolour in the The Blackheath Rhododendron Festival Art Exhibition. Can't remember the year exactly but it was a very successful boost and a great encouragment, and I know this will encourage you too, and rightly so. Fantastic! Keep up the great art... cheers ~W

Wayne… Thank you for visiting today, wow…your comment has blown me away!

This piece was one which employed my first use of masking fluid, after watching NNG’s DVD Innovative Watercolour Media…debunking the mystery, previous to this I had always struggled and could not comprehend everyone’s love-affair with it! Thanks NNG!
This will be my second year exhibiting in the Rhododendron Festival Annual Art Show coming up in November. With so many established and talented artists, the show is of a very high standard, and nerve-wracking for someone who is only just beginning.
I thank you for your well wishes and positiveness, this coming from an accomplished artist such as yourself leaves me encouraged.
PG :)
PS…
You seem to know the Blue Mountains well.

Jared… I do remember your enthusiasm for this piece and also your analysis when I asked for opinions on which of the paintings in the series I should enter. You loved this because of the composition and colourings being cooler.
Thank for your support, I'm a happy girl!:)

L…I haven’t been able to wipe the smile from my face. It was a special painting, and to have had another person view it with the same love in their eyes as I did in its creation, therefore purchasing it, is the ultimate form of praise.

Your support is invaluable, to have you so many others leave comments in support of this news has been an equally incredible boost!
Thank you.

Sandy...Thank you so much.
I do remember very well you loving this piece, and the in-depth discussion we had about which of the "gum" paintings to enter in one of the juried shows...oh the "fun and games"...

Well I won't have to worry about this one anymore... it has gone to a better place! Tee hee hee.
